This episode is one of the jewels in the crown of The Bionic Woman and is a prime example of what sets this series apart from TSMDM.
The performances of the three women concerned are all fantastic. Lindsay as the confused little girl, Martha as the jealous second mother and Barbara as the sad and desperate victim of circumstance.
The direction is particularly good as well.
The scene at the start of Jaime hearing that the grave has been vandalised is curious though - what was that message all about? Who was it? The grave obviously isn't vandalised at all.
Maybe it was Chris, disguising her voice, wanting Jaime to come down to the cemetery where she could either 'accidentally' bump into her or else see her without being seen.

An excuse/reason for them to meet...dramatic...powerful episode.
Photographs from the _Jaime's Mother_ episode.
There seems to be more pictures taken during Jaime's Mother than any other story. I used to have lots of pin-ups of BW on my wall when I was a kid - and about half of them were from this story. I really love that picture of her with the dog.

Do you mean this one with Puzzles?
Where are you guys getting all these great photos!

I love it.

I agree that this is a wonderful episode.

That is top secret information, my friend.

No, really using google's image search and e-bay.

Cheers!

I agree. I really liked Martha in this episode. In Bioic Beauty she was a bit ditzy. She was not at all afraid to confront Jaime in the Carriage house. And in the end, she wasn't at all angry with her. Gotta love unconditional.

I do have to nit pick though...Rags (the dog) looked pretty good for being what? Over 20 years old??

Favorite line? Can't you guess???
This is my favourite episode from season 1, Lindsay Wagner is amazing in it, shes so good at emotional scenes.
I really love this episode, it's one of my favourites!!!
I just noticed, watching this episode again, that both Helen and Chris constantly sound as though they're about to burst into tears. Chris, I know, has some reasons, but I realized that Helen sounds like that all the time. What's that all about? A generational acting twitch?

I agree with you AND am totally saving all of these pictures .. Smile
Wonderfully done, touches the heart. Jamie Sommers character starts emerging little by little in this episode.
We did not see heart felt as much realistic, believable true emotion prior to this episode. Yes , " The Return of the Bionic Woman " and "Welome Home Jaime " are terrific in terms of well introducing the character of Jamie Summers.
The " Jamies Mother " episode however is " le point de depart " or " departure point " for building Jamie Sommers' character and personality for the series, at least for me.

Dr Courtney I could not agree with you more !!!! Cool

N.B: Now if Steven would finally release FILV I would be even more happier.. No preasure Steven !Cool

Loved this episode everyone did a great job Lindsay just touched my heart here with her crying and confused look.
She was so vulnerable there... She showed how human being she was...
