Andre or Ted Cassidy?
My vote goes to Andre.
He was bigger. He looked more intiminating. Due to his professional wrestling status, the fights between he and Steve were so much better.
Ted Cassidy was an okay replacement but I still wonder why Andre never reprised the role for Return of Bigfoot and Bigfoot V.

André IS Bigfoot, end of story. I actually disliked the Bigfoot action figure because they modeled it on Ted. André had hair that look like a wild man's hair, never known a comb. He had a look in his eyes that was both savage and alien. Ted took a "movie villain" approach, and his hair was done to look dramatic and scary. Let me back up and repeat that: his hair was "done". As in with a blow dryer. Plus, the long battles with Ted invariably spent a good amount of slowmo time on Ted's stunt double, whose costume probably cost 1/5 what Ted's did, yet we linger on in agonizing slomo cheapness. André did his own stunts.
Nerd question: WHEN did Andre play bigfoot and WHEN did Ted play bigfoot? I mean which episodes?
André only played Bigfoot for the first two-parter: The Secret of Bigfoot. Ted came in for the next outing, the joint premiere The Return of Bigfoot, and reprised the role for Bigfoot V, (so named by counting each "part" of the first 2).

I have to ask, what was the deal with Bigfoots eyes in Return of Bigfoot. One was really light blue or white and the other was dark green or brown. Did he he lose a contact???
