Hi Guys!
I am looking for a copy of the CD that Joe Hornell put togther of his TV music.
Does anyone have this?
I would like to add additional sounds to the site.
You can email me ( steven@officialbionicwoman.com )
Thank You!
Steven
I don't have the CD (sorry), but do have a whole list of audio files: bionic sound effects, etc., if you ever need anything like that.
Sweet!
I may hit you up on that.
Right now there are three sections that feature sounds - The Gallery with the orchestral version of the main theme, the contact form plays "The Grass Is Always Greener", and the synopsis features a modified "Jaime's Theme".
One is always tempted to ass more sound, but there are people out there that don't like sound sites, befitting or not. So I am trying for a happy medium.
Suggestions always welcome!
Thanks,
Steven
Well...I'd prefer not to hear 'Feelings' - except maybe as a click-able choice....!

Amen to that!
I love the kid, but a singer she was not - but it seems like that was all a part of the gig. Hell, Cheryl Ladd released an album!
S
And so did William Shatner, but let's not go there!
And let's not forget "Sweet Jaime"....even if we might really, really want to!
Ohhhhhhhhhhh Do I really really want to.
S
Well....the montage was great, the lyrics...not so bad - and it was very brave of LM to sing it himself, but....um....I...forget!
Selective memory - it's a wonderful thing!

"Sweet Jaime" was the worst thing ever and the song from "The Bionic Dog" was a bit too sickly sweet, but for some reason I really like the "Happiness That Can last" song from Deadly Ringer - it just seems to fit in perfectly
Yes, and no one seems to know who sang the song and who wrote it either...That information is not in the credits of the episode.
Hello everyone,
Not sure if you guys knew about this, but music from the Bionic Woman is available on CD from joeharnell.com. They just released the "Kill Oscar" soundtrack. Some other Bionic Woman music is available on the "Film Music of Joe Harnell" cd.
I bought both and they are amazing !!!
The "Kill Oscar" cd also has a few surprises on it !!!

Welcome to the OBW, Stillwatch (loved that book, by the way -- and the Lynda Carter movie that it was made into).
I've listened to the 'Kill Oscar' soundtrack so many times now, that I've lost count. Mr. Harnell really was a terrific composer, and created some extremely memorable pieces of music for the series. I'm glad I ordered it -- definitely money well spent.
I haven't gotten the 'Film Music' disc yet, but I'm sure I'd enjoy it as well.

Hey!! I was thinking of buying this...but what would really seal the deal is (AND I LIKE 'SWEET JAIME' -- THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!) There is a rendition of "Sweet Jaime" in the third epi of Kill Oscar. When Steve touches her wrist and she pulls it to her cheek. She's surprised to see it's him when she opens her eyes.... :::SIIIIIIIIIIIIIGGGGHHHHH:::
Anyway, I think that "jazzy" re-do is the best! Is it on the CD?? Do you know?
No, it does not appear on the CD. Here is the tracklisting info:

Ack!! You're right!! What was I thinking...the hospital scene was part 2.
Once again, failed as a BW/SMDM fan...
REALLY!!! I DO WATCH HE SHOW!! It's the memory that fails me...
SO embarrassed!!!
I guess I'll just have to go pull it out and commit it to memory...again!

That reference to "Sweet Jaime" in the hospital really got to me. By then, it was clear they weren't bringing back the romance, and when they played that, it was like "So you do remember!" That was the end of it. They hold hands at the end of 3, but they never re-up on the date Oscar messed up in Part 1.
There were sort of 4 versions of "Sweet Jaime" 2 sung versions (The Bionic Woman vs a marginally improved one in the Return) and 2 instrumental versions (the short version at the tennis court and the lake in TBW episode, and the fuller rendition in Return, in the beginning in the chopper as Steve remembers Jaime, and at the end as she drives off with MM.)
I not only think Lee's singing is a major problem, but so are the lyrics:
"It's been fun, lots of laughs, Jaime"
?
Lots of laughs? This is romantic? Cool is the cousin of cold, quit tryin.
"But lately it's gone flat for me Jaime;
I don't like seein' you now and then"
OK, I get it, you don't want to settle for less. Leading with "its gone flat" is a killer though, and depends on people getting the joke while the song keeps moving. Oliver Nelson did get an Emmy nom for it, but for the beautiful notes. I prefer the instrumentals.
References to prior music is great fanservice. When JJ Johnson failed to reference Luchi de Jesus' music from the original Bigfoot, it was irksome to me; made up for by Joe Harnell busting out with Shalon's old theme in Part II, along with Nelson's theme for the SMDM. JJ must have gotten some mail on that before Kill Oscar II rolled around; a lovely reference and I forgive you JJ.
