I tried adding a reply to the ONE CHANGE thread but noticed it was closed.
Not sure that's fair ..
I take it you've decided to end the discussion .. I can't delete posts or threads anymore .. fine .. but now I can't discuss an idea on a thread?
These limitations concern me ..
Start a new thread!
I'd be happy to hear your thoughts.
But I have chosen to lock that one, and that's that.

I found it overly stern ..
Makes me think that any thing I add will meet your wrath ..
I don't want that ..
I like it here ..
Steven's initial point in that post is that you can say whatever you want in a post, you just can't take it back in a huff or a fit of embarrassment later - which I think suggests strongly that you will NOT incur his wrath for your posts. In fact, I have only seen Steven make very gentle sheepdog like nudges when a thread goes sideways.
(Just giving my take, Steven - I'm quite sure you can speak for yourself.)
I think, however, Steven is perhaps somewhat parental with HOW he runs the board. And I think that's fine. He has set the tone of this thing, and he's done a great job.
Nail on the head.
In all the years that I have been a forum admin on other sites, or a participant in a forum, I have never seen one yet that allowed members to delete threads or posts.
I guess I wanted the board to be as free as possible, and still do, but we cannot go around deleting history because we don't like it. There is a very public fight between Linda Eder and I on her message board that neither of us deleted (though we both looked sill in the long run) because that's what happened - it is what was. Do I wish it wasn't there? No, not really, I wish it never happened! LOL But it did, we learned, we moved on.
Please trust that you all have my affections and know that you are all more then welcome here. I have not asked anyone to leave, nor am I remotely inclined to. That said, I am not about to drag people back from the door either. You are free soles, and if you choose to leave the best I can do is thank you for being here and wish you well on your journey as you move on to other things. Thats what my job is, be as supportive as possible and as neutral as possible. Not always easy, and some people wont like my decisions sometimes.
But know that they are made with the goal at heart of benefiting all.
Steven

I'm with you LT. There's been a chill in the air - and nuts to that, I say! I enjoy all my mouthy and opinionated friends on this board. It makes for a lively discussion.

Exactly! i feel like we're not all friends anymore

Sure we are!! We'll be okay. Sometimes the apple cart gets upset and it takes a little while to get all the apples back in again. It's just a process.

Oh! I guess I missed all the excitement on this one .. but I sure like what you are saying.. we do have a common interest even though we don't really know each other.
That is why writing is a good idea because you can read what you are saying and if you submit something it means that you are quiet satisfied in what you are trying to convey to the board members - doesn't always have to have 100 % consensus on it, however at least we have the liberty to express ourselves in a mature manner over our main common interest - TBW.

Voila ! my speach is over ..
