I really like this episode, but how is it that Jaime awakens from brain surgery with not a hair out of place...or missing? Shouldn't her head be partially shaved, or at the very least, bandaged?

You would think so. Nice, long hair.
SHE WOULD HAVE BEEN DAMN NEAR BALD!
Gotta love ya some sci-fi
Unless of course they went the Egyptian route and did it through her nose?
LOL
S
LOL - kind of like the 'cerebral hemorrhage' with not a drop of visible blood in the OR. (But couldn't they at least have bandaged her head? Gauze is fairly cheap...!)
I'm sure they were thinking that she would be substantially less adorable all covered in blood and gauze. Or with no hair at all! Gotta keep up appearances...
We all know the real reason. The network knew that viewers would never tune in to watch a bald Jaime Sommers.
But yes, they could have at least wrapped bandages around her head.
They also got sloppy in the writing in regards to Jaime's funeral service upon her death.
There were never any explanations given.
What happened, did Rudy put a lifelike dummy or a fembot duplicate of Jaime in the casket for the viewing service?
Also, Jaime Sommers was a celebrity of sorts. I'm sure she made the cover of Sports Illustrated on more than one occasion.
How did the OSI explain to the world the sudden resurrection of Jaime Sommers ?
If you look at it really hard, it absolutely falls apart! The whole death/resurrection thing is totally ridiculous. They painted themselves into a corner by killing her and they just didn't have a decent way of bringing her back again. "My Mother the Car" probably makes more sense!
To Ken Johnson's credit, he did the best that anyone could do under the circumstances.
The Jaime Sommers character was suppose to stay dead. The entire purpose of the 2 part "Bionic Woman" was to be a tear jerker episode to add more emotional depth to the Steve Austin character.
Ken Johnson was then ordered to bring her back from the dead after ABC got flooded with mail from the upset viewers.
Her tennis career is one of the biggest strains on credibility in the series. Of course, you can't blame them since they didn't know that the series would ever happen, but it would have been better had she not been so high up as "top five".
She would have been well known as a tennis star, so to later see her appear in a beauty pageant or a female wrestling ring is crazy (and both events were televised!).
Of course, worse than that is the fact the she's a secret agent - but everyone she comes across would know instantly who she is!
I think they phase out any mention of her career pretty soon
I think we need to take these things with a pinch of salt sometimes.
And anyway, NO ONE TOUCHES LINDSAYS BEAUTIFUL HAIR!
Except me, cuz i have the Bionic Woman styling boutique!
The Boutique...I forgot about that...She could get her hair done AND a tune up.
Or was that just Steve?? Didn't he have something like that...you could lay him down and plug him in?
As far as bandages etc....she did in SMDM. Her ear was all wrapped up, gauze, cotton blood...ew!
I still want to know how she survived that fall at all, i would have expected brain damage or skull fractures.

That tree helped break her fall .... and three limbs as well.

i suppose
Perhaps she did get her head shaved. What we see is actually a wig (although the idea of it flying off everytime she runs makes me smile!). It might also explain her sudden change in hairstyle during season 2 - this was her real hair now grown back.
This is total BS but here goes: after Jaime's "death" Oscar decides he's not telling Steve, and takes him aside.
"Steve, I know this is hard, but we're going to have to hang on to Jaime's.. remains for awhile."
"That's out of the question, Oscar."
"Now, Steve, I don't like this either, but the governement has millions of dollars in classified equipment in Jaime, and that equipment is not going into the ground!"
"I can't believe this, Oscar. How long is a while? What am I going to tell my parents? You know how close they were-"
"I promise to move things along quickly, pal. I'm afraid afterwards, though... it's going to need to be closed casket. She - she won't look too well after."
"Oscar I can't believe this! Can't you do some cosmetic work to hide-"
"It's too risky, pal. We can't afford to have anyone asking questions."
"Well then, Oscar I'm going back to see her now."
"Steve, they've already begun work! Go home, Steve, your family needs you."

On her hair: they did the bandage thing for the 2 SMDM outings, but her debut in her new show? A premiere has to give fans an idea of what the show will be like, so she had to have her "standard" look. I still think a little shaved off the side would've gone a long way. Oh, well.
You're very creative!!!
