How has Lee Major's portrayal of Steve Austin influenced you?
Personally, Lee Majors as Steve Austin never did much for me, but I'd be interested in hearing from his supporters. Where are you guys?
Lee Majors as Steve Austin has influenced me to never try singing
Seriously.....

Yeah when I was a young kid, I idolized him and wanted to be just like him when I grew up (sans bionics).

I wanted to be an astronaut and an air force pilot and a womanizer.

Suffice to say. I turned out differently as I grew up and the only thing I have in common with Steve Austin is probably fishing and a semi success at womanizing. Wink
Well, congratulations on the womanizing part...and the fishing too, I guess.
Howdy.

The character of Steve Austin as portrayed by Lee Majors had a Huge impacton my life as a kid.

To this day, I still enjoy the show a great deal, an I am saddened there isn't more web pages, books Etc... dedicated to the show.

Perhaps when It finally gets released in the USA on DVD, It will renew interest in the show.

I actually got to meet Lee Majors in the late 80's. He was attending a Basket Ball game at the Spectrum In Philadelphia. I worked Security there at the time.

It was very cool.
Cool.

I'm from Philly.
I parted my hair on the side for about thirty years. By the time I went bald it was just "my style" but when I decided to lose the bangs and part it I was 7 and it was all about Steve. I desperately wanted to be an astronaut, broke my heart I'm 4F. I think the whole Jaime thing got me into carrying hopeless torches - not so much on the womanizing.Rolleyes

I think Steve was a decent and upstanding guy, that was a good influence, I think. He was a Mensch.
