Anyone got tapes they made from the original broadcasts??
Hey, all. You know what would be really cool to see? Some recordings of our favorite episodes, complete with commercials, bumpers, previews of next week, etc, just as they were recorded off-air during the first run. Anyone have any of these? Perhaps Steven can stream them. Wha'da'ya say???

Check this out Ben .. From our very own MartinB .. He used an original 70s cassette tape recording to redo this bumper using video editing software and scenes from the DVD he owns  .. It's Perfect!

His notes on the video :

This is the original ABC bumper for the second season debut of The Bionic Woman.
I have made a digital restoration using the authentic audio portion of the promo spot but I used my Bionic Woman DVDs for the picture quality. Hope you like it!

His site is here ..

PS .. BW music freak that I am .. I LOVE the music in this bumper .. it was used ALL the time in the ABC BW commercials ..

Yup, pretty good. I remember how most of the core cast used to pitch products in the ads, though (we see one of these in the bloopers). That would be a truly fun time capsule, if someone had a whole episode recorded intact. They could do what Martin did, and we'd get a REAL feel of what the whole event looked like. Of course the "That 70s Dimension" DVD (about two thirds on which is ads) does that, too. None from our cast, sadly, though there IS one for Farah fans. Oh well. At least we've got the show itself! That's what's really important.

I have all the original episodes recorded someplace in my cellar that I made with my cassette recorder. I edited all the commercials out while I was recording though. I should transfer them to mp3 for you as I have all the "Here are some scenes from the next episode of The Bionic Woman", as well as the announcer talking over the end credits of what was coming up next!

Bear,

The original closing credits for Kill Oscar part II is one of my many Bionic Holy Grails

So is a promo of Kill Oscar part III.

RIP Star Trek
1966 - 2009
Franchise killed by no-talent hacks, JJ Abrams and Robert Orci

Then yes, you should definitely make me copies...

Don't worry; I'm just pulling your leg, though I would indeed love any of that stuff you have. As I say, what I'm mostly interested in is seeing the commercial spots the cast shot; Oscar's Drydees spot was just one among many, as I recall. If by some miracle, you have the masters from which you edited the commercial-free stuff, that is what I'd REALLY do more than a Klondike bar forWink

Otherwise, why don't you do what you just said and make MP3s -- and post them in the Downloads area for all of us???
