LW Interviews/In the News
Okay, folks. I decided that one thread about LW works better in one thread then in separate threads. So I deleted the others and am posting this thread in their places...enjoy!

Quote:2) LW article about TBW

The star of the Bionic Woman breaks her silence over her breakthrough role:

I love this interview - The more I read Lindsay Wagner the more I love her. She was right to steer the series in a 'human' direction

She had a classroom of school kids - but with the series she had a worldful. She did the right thing - and she was the right person.

What does the new series tell you? - Beat the crap out of everyone - including those who are asking for help?

It also tells you to be angst driven and to be ungratful to the ones that save your life not to mention to have sex with strange men on a dirty toilets 5 minutes after you met them.

You know, the best part of this article--thank you by the way...printing out MSDS sheets...I gotta tell you--BORRRRIIING...ready to take a bullet!!

Quote:Tying the Knot

The five year gap between the last two movies was partly caused by Lindsay's insistence that the relationship between Steve Austin and Jaime Sommers finally be regularized. "I said I won't do it again unless they get married," she says. "You've got to give that to the public; you can't just drag them around, the two of us in wheelchairs, with people still waiting for the two of us old fogies to get married. These folk have been with us, and loved us, and we've had this wonderful relationship with them, and they should have the satisfaction of that.
"Plus, what's it saying about these two who can't get off their own situations and commit to each other? Or jump level and stop having this unrequited stuff...? It's a marketing game, and it was becoming painful for me. I felt bad and it was disrespectful to the audience but they were cool, and said, 'Okay we'll marry them' and then we could put it to bed."

I love this!! Go Lin!! SOMEONE has to say enough is enough, UNREQUITED STUFF is BS drama. Done with that!! We need more truthfull romance. We need better examples of Imzadi (if you don't mind my quoting a Star Trek theme..)!

RE: LW Interviews/In the News
In that World Puja interview, LW said she was abused (didn't say exactly what type of abuse) in daycare when she was little. I also remember her acknowledging once in an interview about getting raped when she was 14. Even heard her talk about how her dyslexia got in the way of pursuing her dream to be a psychologist and how she developed stomach ulcers so bad during her teen years that by the time she was 20, she couldn't even take a deep breath without it hurting. I just find it amazing what all she has accomplished in her life in the wake of so much adversity. She's such a great humanitarian and I feel very lucky to have come of age during the height of her fame on TBW. Otherwise, I may have missed out on having such a great role model to look up.
