I know what you mean .. there are many recurring characters in the show that seem as if they are part of the entire show's legacy!

It feels when we are watching the show that there are there all the time ..

Like Martha Scott and Ford Rainey .. some of the students ..

I wish season 2 had more of Martha and Scott .

Season 3 lost all of that ..

I hate to tell you this, but Callahan wasn't in The Road to Nashville. That's an error on the IMDb I have submitted a rectification for. But seeing as that Oscar had a policy to change his secretaries every couple of months, Peggy actually lasted the longest of all. Also there are a whole lot of episodes where you never get to see any secretary sitting out there at all, leading the viewer to imagine Peggy is minding the store right there.

I`d add that... It` s strange to say but I`m pehaps the only one that is not crazy about Callahan. Everyone here around love her, but I`m not so fond of her. It happens...

It's not that I dislike Callahan. It's just that she had no right being in "Fembots in Las Vegas"...... especially when the original script called for Lynda Wilson.

Callahan helped ruin that episode.

You're not alone Martina, I wasn't crazy about the Callahan character either. I found her to be rather annoying. Maybe it was that voice and hearing it to whine about her job, or not being appreciated by Oscar and accusing Jaime of stealing her boyfriend....cringe worthy scenes indeed! I imagine there hasn't been much complaining about Callahan around here because we only got her in small doses....but imagine if she had been in every episode and had a big part at that!

I`ve listened for her real voice for the first time some weeks ago... I really don`t like it!
In italian it is slightly better.

Anyway my favorite characters beside the main ones are Helen and Jim.
